Description

Performs campus parking functions as assigned including parking enforcement on assigned shift.

• Patrols University parking lots on foot.
• Issues citations for parking violations.
• Uses handheld unit to scan parking permits.
• Provides directions to people as needed.
• Answers questions regarding parking on campus.
• Reports problems such as inoperable meters, damaged signs, etc. to Parking Services.
• Reports suspicious activity to campus police.
• Communicates with parking staff via hand held two-way radio.
• Works special events as assigned.
• Sets up and removes signage and barricades as assigned.
• Assists with ingress and egress from campus parking lots.

Qualifications

EDUCATION
Required

• High school diploma or GED.

SKILLS

• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to communicate effectively and pleasantly with faculty, staff, students and visitors.
• Ability to use two-way radio.

Working Conditions / Demands

Willingness to work varying hours including extended hours during peak periods during the semester. Ability to walk about campus parking lots, stand for extended periods, ascend and descend stairs, and lift up to 30 pounds. Willingness to work outside for extended periods and during inclement weather. Must be able to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
