Description
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) seeks a people person with excellent vendor management ability to manage subscription database to ensure implementation of AAP product, access, pricing, continuing medical education and member benefit programs for print and digital journals and subscription products to maximize distribution and drive revenue, as well as, manage fulfillment and distribution of print and digital subscription titles.
Requirements
Qualified candidates will possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, journalism, publishing, marketing or related field or an equivalent combination of related education and work experience required.
- At least three years’ related experience coordinating or managing publication subscription activities required, including managing databases, fulfillment, developing statistical reports, managing budgets, and supervising staff or leading teams.
- Experience working in a medical association and familiarity with BPA guidelines and auditing preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, project management, and analytical skills required.
- Must be detail oriented, take initiative, work both independently and as part of a team, collaborate effectively with various internal and external constituents, be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and promote and maintain a positive and cooperative team-oriented work environment with a commitment to diversity.
- Strong technical acumen essential with proficiency in MS Office, databases, and the ability to learn and apply new technologies; experience with virtual meeting platforms (eg, WebEx).
- Some evening and weekend work required.
